On March 20, 2008, Hardaway Construction Corp. broke ground on this new world headquarters facility for a division of FRANKE. The project consists of a new corporate office and warehouse that is situated on approximately 40 acres along Highway 41 near the Smyrna airport. The office building is a two-story steel and glass structure consisting of approximately 97,500 SF and the warehouse is a one-story concrete tilt wall building consisting of approximately 122,000 SF.
The buildings are designed for the possibility of LEED™ certification, once completed. The skin of the office building consists of insulated aluminum panels, energy efficient glass curtain wall, and wood accent panels. The roof of each facility will have energy saving TPO roof membrane systems that will reflect most of the direct sunlight away from the building. Energy efficient plenum access flooring will be used throughout the majority of the office facility, allowing employees to control their individual environments.
The office complex will include an Employee Care Clinic, Fitness Center, and Cafeteria, as well as a Tech. Center for testing and demonstrating the Owner's products. The warehouse will be a re-supply distribution point for the Owner's products. There will be 16 loading / receiving docks. A 38' clear working height will serve the Owner's warehouse requirements which are comprised of an automated warehouse shipping system and product storage. The buildings are designed for future expansion as the company continues to grow and expand.
