|
John Henry Hale Homes is a MDHA public housing, Hope VI, project consisting of the complete replacement of the existing facility. The new development is a subdivision approach to public housing, consisting of two hundred twenty eight (228) units in seventy one (71) separate buildings. Fifty seven (57) of the buildings contain single family and duplex houses. The other fourteen (14) buildings are two-story row houses ranging from six, eight and ten units per building. Duplex houses make up one hundred eight (108) units and there are one hundred twenty (120) units in row houses. Twenty two (22) of the units are designed for the handicapped.
These units of housing have slab-on-grade foundations to support wood stick framing with brick veneer and Hardy Plank siding.
