Exterior Housing for the Elderly

This five-story, full basement, concrete frame structure is a unique transformation of an existing, vacant, 100 units of Ft. McClellen, Base living quarters into 49 units of Housing for the Elderly, complete with Lounge, Library / Conference Room, Community Room, Activities Room, Laundry, and Administration / Management spaces. There are 46 one-bedroom elderly units and three one-bedroom handicapped elderly units. Each unit contains 650 square feet of space. There is a total of 51,820 gross square feet of existing space. The addition of a covered drop-off area and a new trash room adds 1,150 square feet.

The heating and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems were all completely renovated, as well as the elevator. New carpet, VCT flooring, acoustical ceilings, and paint were included in the renovation. The exterior has new brick veneer with stucco accents.
